We stayed for two nights for a combo of a business conference and snowmobile riding. The room was clean, visually appealing and spacious. It was great to have shelves and hooks to set the snowmobile gear. The trail is easily accessible from the motel parking lot. The pool, hot tub and sauna were awesome! Staff was friendly. Cons: our electronic room keys had to be reset several times, despite keeping them away from our phones. We were on the 4th floor and one of the elevators was not working. Had to go to the front desk at least 4 times for the key issue. Also, they offer a continental style breakfast, but it was expensive. All around, this a nice motel and I would like to stay there again.
Pool is deep enough to actually swim and not just stand in water, hot tub is huge, sauna works great, rooms are clean. Will be coming back. Just wish you allowed dogs
There was bad weather and Alison was very accommodating! She assisting us during a stressful family emergency and bad weather. She was very compassionate and empathetic during a difficult travel situation. We appreciate her kindness!
Stayed here for work for a week. The hotel is newly remodeled and has a very friendly, very accommodating staff. The beds are comfortable and everything is clean. It gets 4 stars simply because it’s a holiday inn and not a 5 star hotel. Otherwise I was happy to stay and would do so again.
Booked a room for a short trip to the U.P. All in all a good solid choice for hotel. Room was on the smaller side but it was clean, comfortable and (other than road noise) pretty quiet. You can get to most things pretty quickly, downtown is less than 5min, Presque Isle is maybe 10min. Will definitely keep in mind for our next trip to Marquette
Very nice hotel that is close to town, stores, and food options. They always meet my needs and offer a clean room at a reasonable rate. I enjoy utilizing the Sauna, Hot Tub, and Pool area. The hotel bar and grille is an extra bonus with many tasty options although it would be nice if the menu were a little bit more expanded. If you are here on business or for reasons that are important at NMU, ask the hotel at booking for the “university rate” and they should be able to offer you a better price per night. Thank you for always providing me with a great experience and wonderful service.
The staff has been very friendly, the tv in one of our rooms wasn't working and after some poor guy attempted to fix it they ultimately just swapped us to another one. Food service was a little slow but it was fine because there was also a big event going on with a visiting sports team haha we'll be back. Beds were actually very comfortable
Stayed here for two nights during my travels through Marquette and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in June 2025. Everything about this hotel is Amazing!! The room was clean and Spacious. The beds were comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. The bar served fantastic drinks and the restaurant had excellent breakfast options. KUDOS to Madison who was my server during breakfast the two mornings while I stayed at the hotel. She was Spectacular!
